On May 17, 1863, the first copy of the Cantares gallegos, by Rosalía de Castro, was published in Vigo, marking the beginning of the "Rexurdimento" or cultural renaissance of Galician.
A hundred years later, the Royal Galician Academy would choose the same date to commemorate our language, our language, our letters. He does this by paying homage each year to a different personality, demanding that at least ten years have elapsed since the date of his death. A figure that has stood out for its literary creation in Galician language and / or for the defense of our language.
Only if you are in Boiro on this day, you will have the possibility to know the Pazo de Goiáns, which on this date opens its doors to welcome there our peculiar pilgrimage of Galician letters, with a wide program of cultural activities.
